The editorial
line

Public standards. Audited in CI. If the transmission fails them, it doesn't ship.

Citation Density

Minimum: one cited primary source per 250 words of narrative. Absolute floor: ten primary citations per article. Health-protocol and government-program articles routinely carry 30-60 citations. The audit is blocking: the citation-audit script runs before any publication. If it fails, the article does not enter production.

Accepted Source Types

  • Peer-reviewed journals (PubMed, Google Scholar)
  • Declassified government documents (CREST, DTIC, NSC, FOIA)
  • Inventor's own notes and manuscripts
  • Sworn official testimony
  • Published work of named, affiliated researchers
  • University archive databases

Rejected Source Types

  • Product or practitioner marketing pages
  • Wikipedia text without its underlying citation (Wikipedia's citation is valid; its text is not)
  • Reddit / X threads without a link to the original study
  • AI summaries without the original sources
  • Commentary without attribution

Conflicts Policy

Black Swan Project does not accept paid placements, sponsored content, affiliate deals on supplement protocols, or pay-to-list practitioner directory entries. If editorial economics require commercial revenue in the future, it will be disclosed inline at the top of the affected article and the transmission will carry a persistent SPONSORED label.

The founder operates other ventures. This is disclosed at /about. If a venture enters editorial territory, it will be disclosed again on the affected article.

Corrections Policy

Reader corrections are reviewed within 24 hours. If the correction is sourced (peer-reviewed study, declassified document, authoritative testimony), it triggers an article correction within 48 hours. Original text is preserved with strikethrough. The correction appears inline. A CORRECTION note is added at the article footer with the date and source.

We don't delete errors. We mark them.

Editorial AI Use

AI is used for: research aggregation, EN↔ES translation, draft scaffolding, archive-search assistance. AI is not used for: autonomous publication without human verification, citation fabrication, sourceless statistic generation, final drafting without sentence-by-sentence review against primary sources.

Update Cadence

Top-traffic articles are reviewed quarterly for evidence currency. New peer-reviewed studies, new declassifications, and new corroborating or contradicting evidence are integrated with a clear UPDATED date and an inline note describing what changed. An internal tracker flags any article >180 days without review.

These aren't ideals. They're requirements. The transmission that fails them doesn't exist.
